Print at the library from your phone
Public libraries have computers anyone can use. Including for printing. The problem is the same as anywhere else. To print your file you have to get it onto their computer first.
USB drives can spread malware between machines. Email logins are risky on shared computers. Xprinty does it differently. Open xprinty.com on the library computer. Click Send a document. Scan the QR code with your phone. Pick the file. Print.
The library computer holds the file for 15 minutes then deletes it. No account needed. Free.
Common questions
- Will this work at my local library?
- If the library computer has internet and a regular browser, yes. That covers most public library systems.
- Can the librarian see my file?
- Only if they're standing at the same screen and you click Show preview. By default the file isn't shown on screen.
- Does the library still charge for the print?
- Yes. We don't change how the library bills you for paper. We just get your file onto their machine.
